How To Fix Fake Hard Drive Error Message

Unread postby leaguemaster91 » January 31st, 2012, 7:10 am

Recently, i keep getting popup windows saying that it has detected a hard drive problem and that i need to perform a backup soon to prevent data loss.

However, besides the problem stated above, my computer has been running normally as usual. I have also checked the status of my hard drive in the control panel and it says that everything is performing normally.

Did several malware scans of my pc using Windows Security Essentials and MalwareBytes but all reported similar results: No threats found.

Ran a full system scan using Hijackthis software recently and came up with a log which i have no idea how to interpret. PLease help. Thanks alot.

By posting just a description of your problems it is likely that your topic will be passed by and you will not receive the help you're looking for.

We need to know what's running on your computer so we can give you appropriate instructions.

May I draw your attention to THIS topic, which you should have read, and which tells you what we need you to post so that we can help you.
