Spam websites? Blue Screen errors? Help Please!

Every time I try to search for a website and bring it up in another tab it brings up a spam page!! Also I get multiple virus everyday that my virus program catches and removes right away but these spam websites stuff is happening on both google chrome and Internet Explorer. Someone told me this could be malware/spyware. Could someone please help me figure out how to remove it. I have my Microsoft Essentials updated but it apparently isn't catching this..
