Why? After we got through with everything, Troy asked me to remove my Adobe PDF. For whatever reason, he thought I had very old software. I deleted it and tried to download Adobe X and started having installer problems- constant timeout. Unable to download to install. I went to a restore point, back further than when Troy helped me, to retrieve my Adobe reader. As it turns out, I had 9.5. I got it back, but was unable to update, etc. I deleted it. Since I deleted it, I cannot go back again to retrieve it. (Troy said he did not find any evidence of malware.) Hey- does that include virus?
I don't know exactly was what done, with the malware removal process, but my machine and connection seemed to be better. (Connection is so really slow now and making me sick.) I would like to do the whole process on the thread over again, but I would like to do with someone that is experienced- (I think it is obvious that I do not know what the hell I am doing)
I checked on your other page, slow connection may not be due to malware, tried a few things that did not help.
This should not take very long, due to the fact that I have already done it once- I hope.
Could my connection problem have something to do with my dialer? (Modem connection) I was up to date with Windows updates and my connection just got deathly slow. I deleted a lot of updates and hide many- connection seemed better.
I think Microsoft Security Essentials slows everything down too and I want to get rid of it.
When it needs updating or I don't have it on- I think it and Windows updates does something to slow down my connection. Blocking things because I have not updated or ran. I don't know if this is possible, but I have a constant problem with updates and Security Essentials. (Maybe just a problem, because connection is slow.)
Thank you!
