cannot boot system at all past Windows Boot Manager

Unread postby appreciateshelp » December 6th, 2011, 6:31 pm

I am a new user here. I recently posted regarding Malware removal and overlooked the DDS download. I have tried to boot the affected computer to download DDS and the system will not boot even in "safe" mode now. I am at "Boot Manager" screen with the system asking for:
"Insert your windows installation disk and restart the computer" ( I have and it doesn't see the disk )
"If you do not have the disk, contact your system administrator ........."
File: \windows\system32\config\system
Status: 0xc0000e9
"Windows failed to load because the system registry file is missing or corrupt

CTRL ALT DEL works to restart but back to boot manager screen asking for disk.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

If you are unable to create a readable DDS log, then follow the instructions for posting a HijackThis log.
