Tojan-BNK.Win32.Keylogger.Gen

Basically what happens is I try and open up the internet (firefox) but it says
"Firefox alert. Visiting this site may pose a security threat to your system"
and gives me three options (if you really need them i can get back on my computer)
When I try to get onto Explorer it says that internet explorer is infected with
Tojan-BNK.Win32.Keylogger.Gen...
then it keeps on trying to scan my computer with some phony antivirus call win 7 or something.
So then I try to go log onto safemode (network) which is how i dealt with it last time, but somehow the virus/malware will not let me do anything on that was well.
So here I am on my desktop (because the laptop is not functionable) with absolutely no idea on what to do to get my lap top to work. Keep in mind i cannot use the internet on it right now.

Thanks

We understand that you are having difficulty working with the infected computer. However, in order for us to help you it is necessary that you provide us with a DDS log, and it is possible you may be able to do this by following these instructions:

Download/run Rkill:

Using another computer, download Rkill from one of the following links and transfer the file to the infected computer's Desktop:

One, Two or Three

  • Double click on Rkill.
  • A command window will open then disappear upon completion, this is normal.
  • Please leave Rkill on the Desktop until otherwise advised.

Note: If your security software warns about Rkill, please ignore and allow the download to continue.

Next, please follow the guideline at the link below to start a new topic and post your DDS log. If you are unable to create and post a DDS log, then your only option may be to reformat your computer and reinstall the operating system.

This topic is now closed. Please start a new topic by following the guideline posted here: >Guideline for posting your DDS log<
