The programs DDS do not work they just hang the system. My wife had a screen come up saying that her system was infected with virus. I ran Malwarebytes program and it removed some I also ran Kasp.... in safe mode and it said it removed some others. The problem is that under her profile anything that she tries to run is redirected to internet explorer. When she logs in it starts about 20 instances of internet explorer. I tried to rename and delete iexplorer but somehow it is automatically recreated. The system run OK under my profile which is the administrator. She also has administrator rights. Please help.
Thanks, Les

We understand that you are having difficulty running certain programs, including DDS. However, in order for us to help you it is necessary that you provide us with a DDS log, and it is possible you may be able to do this by following these instructions:

Download/run Rkill:

Please download Rkill from one of the following links and save to your Desktop:

One, Two or Three

  • Double click on Rkill.
  • A command window will open then disappear upon completion, this is normal.
  • Please leave Rkill on the Desktop until otherwise advised.

Note: If your security software warns about Rkill, please ignore and allow the download to continue.

Next, please follow the guideline at the link below to start a new topic and post your DDS log. If you are unable to create and post a DDS log, then your only option may be to reformat your computer and reinstall the operating system.

This topic is now closed. Please start a new topic by following the guideline posted here: >Guideline for posting your DDS log<
