having problems with VLC. keeps freezing making it impossible to watch any video. also, has stopped reading subtitles for some reason. media player not as bad but does skip and slow down from time to time. takes ages for laptop to boot up. firefox and IE have definitely slowed down too. main problem is with VLC but feel that everything is linked and there may be some deeper problem. have latest version of avg. nothing discovered in scan. also have malwarebytes. nothing on that either. please help...its driving me nuts!
