I have a laptop that is having difficulties logging on. Is it possible to run hijack this on a computer using C: Prompt?

To answer your question, no it would not be possible to work from a C prompt. Removing malware requires more than running HijackThis, it requires the ability to run multiple other tools. If your laptop has been disabled by malware to the point you are unable to even boot into the Windows operating system, then you require more than the help you can receive at an online help site. Your best option is to reformat the hard drive and reinstall your operating system.
