My computer suddenly seems to have a mind of its own, freezing several times a day and requiring a reboot to restore normal operation. An hour later it freezes again. The hard drive spins, the screen fades to white, and the entire thing locks up -- no mouse control, no ctrl-alt-delete, nothing!
