Some guidance would be appreciated on this. I have to get rid of the infection, one way or another,

Thanks,
Peter.

27/1/10: Still not rid of it, even after dozens of Virus Scans & re-boots. Zonealarm seems to be able to clear the infection it finds in WINDOWS/system32/drivers, but the browsers then get hijacked again, and the Virus in /drivers re-appears. Not sure of the correlation beween these events. I'm about to get really bloody-minded with all /temp files in the system. Tried to download XP Pro SP3 from Microsoft - browser gets hijacked, can't get the download.
Stll looking for help,
Peter
