Ok the good news is I can see no sign of Malware at this stage.

As for the slowness, Your system is running with Total RAM: 510 MB (19% free) which is quite low. I think if your remove AVG 9.0 which is a huge resource hog and install something like Avira you will notice a huge difference.

If you wish to try this uninstall AVG Free 9.0 through add/remove programs the run the AVG removal tool.

It is moving much faster than before. Yet, I still have this problem with my speakers or sound coming from the laptop. When I try to run a video on youtube, the sound keeps blanking in and out. Even when I let the video load completely, it will play smoothly for a bit but then begin to cut in and out again. It sounds as if it is lagging.. Have you done some kind of restore or re-install recently? If so did you reinstall all the drivers correctly? It does sound more like a driver issue of some kind.

Thing is, the computer decided to just not turn on for a while. Then one day I tried, and bam it turned on. I think it might be the driver as well. How do I go about fixing it?

So when it turned on did you do anything specific? Have you checked device managerto see if drivers are needed? If it is a hardware issue or something other that malware (which it seems to be) you will probably be better off asking for help in a general computer help forum, rather than one that treats malware problems.

To have a look in device managaer, right click my computer then select properties. Click on the Hardware tab then select device manager. Can you see any yellow question marks or exclamation marks? This would be a sign of missing drivers or problems.

In the meantime to be absolutely sure no malware is on board please run an online scan foe me.

Kaspersky Online Scan
Do an online scan with >Kaspersky Online Scanner<

• Read through the requirements and privacy statement and click on Accept button
• It will start downloading and installing the scanner and virus definitions. You will be prompted to install an application from Kaspersky. Click Run
• When the downloads have finished, click on Settings
• Make sure these boxes are checked (ticked). If they are not, please tick them and click on the Save button:
  Spyware, Adware, Dialers, and other potentially dangerous programs
  Archives
  Mail databases
• Click on My Computer under Scan
• Once the scan is complete, it will display the results. Click on View Scan Report
• You will see a list of infected items there. Click on Save Report As...
• Save this report to a convenient place. Change the Files of type to Text file (.txt) before clicking on the Save button

I tried running the Kaspersky scan multiple times. But each time, it finishes downloading everything and then apparently freezes. Sorry.

ESET Online Scanner

Note: You can use either Internet Explorer or Mozilla FireFox for this scan. You will however need to disable your current installed Anti-Virus, how to do so can be read here.

Vista users: You will need to to right-click on the either the IE or FF icon in the Start Menu or Quick Launch Bar on the Taskbar and select Run as Administrator from the context menu.

  Note: If using Mozilla Firefox you will need to download esetsmartinstaller_enu.exe when prompted then double click on it to install.
  All of the below instructions are compatible with either Internet Explorer or Mozilla FireFox.

• Select the option YES, I accept the Terms of Use then click on:
• When prompted allow the Add-On/Active X to install.
• Make sure that the option Remove found threats is NOT checked, and the option Scan archives is checked.
• Now click on Advanced Settings and select the following:

• Scan for potentially unwanted applications
  
• Scan for potentially unsafe applications
• Enable Anti-Stealth Technology


• Now click on:
• The virus signature database... will begin to download. Be patient this make take some time depending on the speed of your Internet Connection.
• When completed the Online Scan will begin automatically.
• Do not touch either the Mouse or keyboard during the scan otherwise it may stall.
• When completed select Uninstall application on close if you so wish, make sure you copy the logfile first!
• Now click on:
• Use notepad to open the logfile located at C:\Program Files\ESET\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt.
• Copy and paste that log as a reply to this topic.

Note: Do not forget to re-enable your Anti-Virus application after running the above scan!
