possible virus? or did i do something wrong?

hello all. Im looking for help. I have tried run my Macafee scan and my laptop, keeps locking up 27% thru the scan and on this

c:\program files\ulead...Recorder 2.2\ libmmd.dll


Can any of you help me? I am a student and I dont want my laptop infected, obv, and would love some help. Thanks alot guys!!
