FIREFOX "redirection" problem

Unread postby alsopb » September 23rd, 2009, 5:35 am

This may be a duplicate. First try didn't seem to make it to the posting.
This problem is with FIREFOX (latest and previous versions) on a WIN-XP machine.
It only occurs with JAVASCRIPT enable. When one clicks on a link, Firefox attempts to go to it but fails and has to be restarted. I believe it is trying to be redirected to a Chinese sex site but that site is apparently blocked by my ISP RR. Impossible to browse. Have tried 6 different virus programs including SPYBOT, SAS, AVG, Malware.... None detect any infections.

Have spent 5 days trying various fixes proposed by internet postings. No luck.

There clearly is some unfound infection.

Your help would be appreciated. The hijack log is attached. COMBOFIX is already installed.

Regards,
Brian

In order for us to help you it is necessary that you provide us with a HijackThis log. Please follow the guideline at the link below to start a new topic and post your HijackThis log by pasting it into your post.
