Hi Recently my comp got infected by some sort of horrid virus it makes anything I download read as corrupt patches installers anything so I cant download anything to help from the internet Me and my friend reset my comp to factory settings but that was no use I ran a Chkdsk / did a System Restore nothing worked so we decided to wipe the comp entirely and reinstall windows but the disc didnt work so we settled for Linux Herin but apparently the virus was bad enough to where it still followed me and persisted to do the same on linux its spread to a laptop on my network to so at this point im beyond frustrated and dont know what to do Can a virus reside in like a modem or something if I managed to get rid of it couldnt it just come back through however it got on my laptop im freaking out here worried ill never be able to get my comps running here again and have thus far been unlucky in getting rid of this I seem to have gotten hit with the 1 virus thats unbeatable a few other things it does is sometimes sites wont load completely ill see a bunch of code or occasionaly on firefox it will say theres an encoding error and not load at all so I have to spam refresh till it works any insight at this moment would be appreciated on the edge of a breakdown over this thanks for your help
