Free Malware Removal Forum

A few weeks ago our wireless laptops stopped connecting to the internet. I have tried everything and eventually determined that we had malware. I ran several removal programs, Microsoft Malware Removal, Malware Bytes, and our standard Trend Micro. Each found and removed items. I completed these programs on each of our computers. All but one is working with the internet again. The remaining laptop does not obtain the default gateway when connecting to our internet connection, it sits at local connection trying to identify the connection. I can connect to another network (local unsecured network) and it connects fine, I then can disconnect from that one and connect to ours. Also, if I plug it directly in to the router via Ethernet it works fine.

The laptop is a Sony Vaio, connecting to a 2Wire 2701HG-B Gateway (I did confirm we have the latest firmware) via a wireless connection.

I am including the Hijack this log, the IPCONFIG all for Local only connection and the IPCONFIG all for when we are connected to our internet connection.

I'm very sorry for your delay,
There is a forum policy regarding 64 bit machines that I need to check on.

I can see from your HJT log that you're using a 64 bit operating system. Unfortunately, the tools we use to analyze and remove infections do not work properly on a 64 bit operating system, and their results cannot be relied upon. Because of this, it is almost impossible for us to correctly diagnose problems, and the fixes we might offer could potentially do as much damage to your computer as any infection you might have.

For these reasons, we do not at this time offer support for 64 bit operating systems.

We are sorry that we are currently unable to assist you.
