Hi, my computer has been really slow, really really slow. I have winpatrol and scotty has been showing up a non-stop a warning about these new start up programs:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\yewuhiza.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\nilomuju.dll",s
C:\WINDOWS\system32\pudenago.dll",b
c:\windows\system32\sofodowi.dll",a
C:WINDOWS\system32\pudenago.dll,b
C:WINDOWS\system32\sofodowi.dll

I assume they are all related.

I select NO, since I didn't install programs.
They keep showing up with the scotty alert. I tried to delete them on reboot with scotty, hijackthis, and I also used Malwarebytes' Anti-malware (they were detected). They keep coming back, so I need a way to delete them for good. So plz, help me.

Here's my Hijackthis logfile:

Hello, and Image to the Malware Removal forums.
My name is Michael I'll be glad to help you with your computer problems.

HijackThis logs can take some time to research, so please be patient with me. I know that you need
your computer working as quickly as possible, and I will work hard to help see that happen.

Please be patient and I'd be grateful if you would note the following:
  • I will be working on your Malware issues, this may or may not, solve other issues you have with your machine.
  • The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine.
  • Please continue to review my answers until I tell you your machine appears to be clear. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.
  • If after 5 days you have not responded to this topic, it will be closed, and you will need to start a new one.
  • It's often worth reading through these instructions and printing them for ease of reference.
  • If you don't know or understand something, please don't hesitate to say or ask!! It's better to be sure and safe than sorry.
  • Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
  • All of my posts need to be checked by a teacher, so please be patient while I attempt to remove your malware.

Make an uninstall list using HijackThis
To access the Uninstall Manager you would do the following:
  • Start HijackThis
  • Click on the Config button
  • Click on the Misc Tools button
  • Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.
  • Click on the Save list... button and specify where you would like to save this file. When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file. Save the file to your desktop.

Please post this log on your next reply.

Thanks, Michael

Cool. Thanks :) I also noticed I can't update Windows nor Windows Defender I noticed that the file name changes. Malwarebytes recognizes those files as Trojan Vundo H. Hope that might help.

Download and Run ATF Cleaner

Download ATF (Atribune Temp File) Cleaner© by Atribune to your desktop.

Double-click ATF Cleaner.exe to open it.

Under Main choose:
Windows Temp
Current User Temp
All Users Temp
Cookies
Temporary Internet Files
Prefetch
Java Cache

*The other boxes are optional*
Then click the Empty Selected button.

Firefox:
Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click NO at the prompt.

Opera:
Click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click NO at the prompt.

Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

You aren't running Anti-Virus Software. Please download and install one

Use an Anti-Virus Software - It is very important that your computer has an anti-virus software running on your machine. This alone can save you a lot of trouble with malware in the future. Here are some anti-virus products which are free for personal use and most used:
Avast I recommend this one
Avira
AVG Free If you would like to buy AVG, please buy it from this link so our site will get some money to help pay for server costs.

Here are some really good paid programs which you can buy online or in a shop nearby:
ESET NOD32
Kaspersky anti-Virus or Kaspersky Internet Security with Firewall included If you would like to buy Kaspesrky Anti-Virus, please buy it from this link so our site will get some money to help pay for server costs.

Update your Anti-Virus Software - It is imperative that you update your anti-virus software at least once a week (Even more if you wish). If you do not update your anti-virus software then it will not be able to catch any of the new variants that may come out.

Note: If your other computer is too slow to download or run anything, you can download it on a clean computer and then transfer the executable file to the infected computer. Then you can install it.

Please post a new Hijackthis log.

Is there a way to run Hijackthis thru safe mode or something? :? A command or something.

I ran the cleaner and then installed Avast. Like all anti-viruses, it ran a system scan. All the items that it found were removed, but now my computer is slower than before. After I log in to my computer, I can't find the icons or task bars, etc. The only thing I can see is the desktop wallpaper, it's all empty, no start button, no clock, no task bars, no tool bars, nothing. Same thing happens in safe mode or "last known configuration"; therefore, I can't run hijackthis.

:pale: Im really freaking out now. Help...

Don't worry, there is no need to freak out ;)

Assuming that you installed Hijackthis in the default location, you can press CTRL+ALT+DEL, then click File > New Task... and tpye/copy and paste the following :

C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe

Then just make a Hijackthis log.

Once I get this new log, on my next post, we will start cleaning this up and the speed probably will improve drastically.

Thanks a lot man.
I used the explorer.exe to run and show my icons for a while. Not completely fixed the problem but at least I got a hold of hijackthis. Still no internet.

This is what I got.

Download and Run ComboFix

Please visit this webpage for instructions for downloading ComboFix at your DESKTOP :
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix
Please ensure you read this guide carefully and install the Recovery Console first.

Additional links to download the tool:
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
http://www.forospyware.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
http://subs.geekstogo.com/ComboFix.exe

Note: The Windows Recovery Console will allow you to boot up into a special recovery (repair) mode. This allows us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware. It is a simple procedure that will only take a few moments of your time.

Once installed, you should see a blue screen prompt that says:

The Recovery Console was successfully installed.

Please continue as follows:
  • Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix. A guide to do this can be found here.
The ones that need to be closed/disabled are:
    Avast
    Windows Defender

  • Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue scanning for malware.
  • When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.
  • Please post the C:\ComboFix.txt along with a new HijackThis log so we may continue cleaning the system.

:x ok got issues here:
I couldn't disable avast so I uninstalled for now.

I noticed that windows firewall is totally disabled, I dunno if it has something to do with Windows Defender. I can't enable or disable the firewall at all.

On Windows defender there's no Real-time protection options, I guess there's something wrong or it was badly installed. I can't even un-install it, it says that it might be cause of a bad install or running in safe mode which I am not. The only thing I did was to exit the program thru the option given.

Winpatrol was the only one easy to disable.

and Combofix doesn't run. It just loads a little green bar and nothing pops up. I guess it is because of defender, but I dunno, might be other issues or my computer can't run .exe files anymore. Any ideas?

Also, as I was reading the guide, how am I gonna get Windows Recovery Console installed if I have nointernet connection at all??

Remove bad HijackThis entries
  • Run HijackThis
  • Click on the Scan button
  • Put a check beside all of the items listed below (if present):

    O1 - Hosts: 82.98.235.133 browser-security.microsoft.com
    O1 - Hosts: 82.98.235.133 url.adtrgt.com

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [] C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\r3199.exe

  • Close all open windows and browsers/email, etc...
  • Click on the "Fix Checked" button
  • When completed, close the application.

Please go ahead and re-install Avast. It is very dangerous to not have a anti-virus running.

Download and Run: RSIT

  • Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
  • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
  • Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt (<<will be maximized) and info.txt (<<will be minimized)

Please post the 2 RSIT logs on your next reply.
