I recently went to a friend's to check out his PC, it had being running in a very odd manner. All images were disabled in IE and random webpages kept opening from time to time. After a scan with Spybot S+D and Ad Aware we removed a lot of tracking cookies, and Ad Aware detected Win32Tr\.\Agent. It would try and remove the trojan and then ask you to restart, then trying to remove it when windows loads. This claims to have removed it but doesn't as it reappears instantly.
I live several miles away so don't have regular access to the computer, but we're looking to fix it in the next couple of days with a bit of luck.
It's running Vista, latest service pack IIRC.
