replicating super virus from bill gates hairy nose...HELP

Hi I am having a very hard time with this virus I can ussually smoke them out pretty fast.

At first hijack this along with wise registry cleaner helped me have some control over this bug
but it installs new reg files every 5 minutes and then changes locations. I think that this has something to do with a fake msn virus as well as countless other sneaky viruses that are embeded int o my system. Several folders that are completley empty marked messanger xerox nova requirments MSN all empty but yet i cant delete them. I also used file signature verification (standard windows tool ) to check out what files come up as suspicous. Results being 20 unsigned values in the last couple days. I'm quite sure I installed a "texture enricher" for the game morrowind and thats when this started to happen. Norton is the only thing keeping the system from being taken over because a program posing / using explorer.exe and update.exe and ieexplorer.exe keep trying to acces the internet. The problem is so widspread i'm just considering reinstalling my operating systems but problems i found to be simialar had little succes even after a reinstall of the os. I have honestly been tweaking my system for 10 hours and still theses files keep replicating themselves and changing around. Thanks for any help or suggestions

Hi Taylorado,

Step 1

Please download DDS from Bleeping Computer and save it to your desktop.

Double click on dds to run it.

When done, DDS.txt will open. Another file, Attach.txt will open after a short while. Please save these 2 files to your desktop as they will be deleted once you close them.

Please attach Attach.txt in your next reply by scrolling down to Upload attachment and clicking on Browse....

Step 2

Please download gmer.zip from Gmer and save it to your desktop.

  1. Right click on gmer.zip and select Extract All....
  2. Click Next on seeing the Welcome to the Compressed (zipped) Folders Extraction Wizard.
  3. Click on the Browse button. Click on Desktop. Then click OK.
  4. Click Next. It will start extracting.
  5. Once done, check (tick) the Show extracted files box and click Finish.


Double click on gmer.exe to run it. It will start running a scan. If it detects rootkit activity, you will receive a prompt to run a full scan. Click Yes.

  • When done, you may receive another notice. Click OK.
  • Click on Save ... to save a log.
  • Copy and paste in Gmer.txt and click Save.
  • Close Gmer.


If you receive no notice, click on the Scan button.

  • It will start scanning again.
  • When done, click on Save ... to save a log.
  • Copy and paste in Gmer.txt and click Save.
  • Close Gmer.


Note: Do not run any programs while Gmer is running.
