No Network cant update ahhh Winiguard

i got malware and i have been trying to remove it with several antivirus programs but none of them will update. I have been searching high and low and i found out my network places are gone either deleted or moved. Also to mention i cannot system restore i get to the step right before restore and i cant click next. i know how i got it and im almost positive it is winiguard i already removed the balloon.exe thats in part to winiguard and took it of my start up by the run then msconfig now i know i have it but it must be root kitted because it comes up in scans but i can never find it myself. now im sure i can get rid of it if my connection is fixed then i can update the great programs i have and yes i still have access to the internet dont ask me how. or if i can figure out how to fix the system restore. please help its very frustating. i grew impatient so i deleted some of the files i knew and im still getting that blue screen of death aslo to note i cant system restore or reinstall windows im in it up to my neck HELP!!!!

Welcome confuzzled

Apologies for the late reply. As you can appreciate the boards are quite busy. If you still require help with your computer problem could you do the following:

Random's System Information Tool (RSIT)
  • Download Random's System Information Tool (RSIT) by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on RSIT.exe to run the tool
  • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen
  • Once it has finished, two logs will open, log.txt (<<will be maximized) and info.txt (<<will be minimized)
  • Copy & paste the contents of both logs in your next reply
If info.txt does not minimise to the Task Bar, you will find it in C:\rsit

Gmer
Download gmer.zip from Gmer here & save it to your desktop.
  • Right click on gmer.zip and select Extract All...
  • Click Next on seeing the Welcome to the Compressed (zipped) Folders Extraction Wizard
  • Click on the Browse button. Click on Desktop. Then click OK
  • Click Next. It will start extracting
  • Once done, check (tick) the Show extracted files box and click Finish
  • Double click on gmer.exe to run it
  • Select the Rootkit tab
  • On the right hand side, check all the items to be scanned, but leave Show All box unchecked
  • Select all drives that are connected to your system to be scanned
  • Click on the Scan button
  • When the scan is finished, click Copy to save the scan log to the Windows clipboard
  • Open Notepad or a similar text editor
  • Paste the clipboard contents into the text editor
  • Save the Gmer scan log and post it in your next reply
  • Close Gmer
Note: Do not run any programs while Gmer is running.
