Hey guys

I can’t run spybot s&d, can’t update adaware 2008 or AVG, and can’t install Hijack this. I don’t know if this is because I found Spyware guard 2008 on my computer recently or if its something else.

I’ve also tried to install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware but once I click on the setup, nothing comes up. The only thing that does run is CCleaner but that doesn’t seem to help much. I’m unable to boot up in normal mode and have to use safe mode, What can I do?? I can’t even install Hijack this…

We understand that you are having difficulty trying to install and/or run anti-malware programs, including HijackThis. In order for us to help you it is necessary that you provide us with a HijackThis log. A HijackThis log, as well as other logs that may be requested, provide us with a guideline for removing whatever malware is infecting your system. We cannot proceed without such logs for guidance.

If you can get HijackThis to install and run, then please follow the guideline at the link below to start a new topic and post your HijackThis log. If you are unable to create and post a HijackThis log, then your only option may be to reformat your computer and reinstall the operating system.

This topic is now closed. If able, please start a new topic by following the HijackThis Guideline posted here: >Guideline for posting your HijackThis log<
