Hi,

After your last post and after I followed instructions everything improved. I was able to unistall AVG and Kaspersky
and re-installed my old TrendMicro PC-cillin. I did not really need to visit any forums for
additional help. Got WinPatrol and the utility to check web page scripts. PC is running as fast as ever,
which is really great.

I did not compact my mail yet to get rid of that file. That is not the same as archive or compress, or is it? Would any data be lost
or difficult to retrieve?

Thank you very much for the help .

Have you tried my previous instructions? Did you have any difficulty with them? It has nothing to do with archiving.

I did compact personal folders for two users I have on this PC.
It was done rather fast.

Anything else to do?

Thanks.

Hi branko,

I'm sorry about the late reply, Axephilic is unable to respond so I will do so in his place.

That's great, doing this compacts the file by removing all the old deleted emails - most likely including those detected in the scan.

At this stage I think you're all set - if you haven't done so already please review the prevention recommendations posted earlier on, and if you are having any further problems please let me know.
