2 GB. Please don't try to tell me that I need to add more. Until just recently, this laptop ran very well and was quick -- even when running multiple applications and mutliple tabs in IE.

Vista's defrag utility is automatically scheduled to run every Wednesday night. And I delete temp files often.

The sluggishness on my laptop is mainly with IE. Maybe it's a problem caused by SpyBot 1.6.0 (anti-spyware software)?

Please delete your copy of DSS immediately. There is a bug and it should not be used.

There is no TeaTimer installed so I don't think that is the reason.

Have you tried other browsers than IE and if so, are those sluggish, too?

I deleted DSS. Thanks for informing me about the bug.

I have tried NetScape, FireFox, and Opera, but don't care for these as they don't handle many websites too well -- certain functionality doesn't work (especially navigation menus).

IE is the only browser installed on this laptop. I prefer to keep using IE. Is there something other than temp files that can cause IE to become very sluggish?
