Are both Symnntec and McAfee up-to-date and having antivirus?

Hey Shaba,

Yes, they were 2 days old but now they are back up to date. Could it be that they are using up a lot of system resources and that could be slowing down the computer or just the fact that its running vista. In any case if there are any other light weight AV and Firewall programs that you recommend id be happy to switch. I also have an extra liscense of XP available so if its just vista thats slow and i dont have any viruses, then I will just install that. Looking forward to your response, thank you for your time.

Symantec/Norton just finished up with a scan and had 0 virus detections. Norton is my primary AV and firewall protection. Mcafee was forced onto my computer by my work domain, any client on the network is forced to install Mcafee by Sonicwall and be up to date before they browse the internet or browse files on the network. Could they be conflicting and could cause a drop in performance

Yes as you should be using one antivirus only.

So please uninstall one of them and post back a fresh HijackThis log, please
