Greetings!

My nephew is visiting me, and exposed my computer to a viral attack that first manifested itself as an "active desktop hijack" and extremely slow processing.

I ran a "Malwarebyte" (see attached logs) and a "Microsoft Malicious Software Removal" scan.

Recovered control of "Active desktop" then discovered other related symptoms: internet browsers will close when the terms "hijackthis" and "kaspersky" are entered into search engines. Additionally, the "hijackthis" and "vundowfix" utilities will not execute. I was able to obtain a "DSS" and "GMER" rootkit scan (Also see attached). Any help resolving this issue will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,
