Hi DocktorQ,

Please tell me what symptoms you are experiencing and why you think your machine is infected.

Download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) to your Desktop (right-click the link, select Save Target As..., select your Desktop and press Save)

• Close all applications and windows.
• Double-click on dss.exe to run it, and follow the prompts.
• When the scan is complete, two text files will open - main.txt <- this one will be maximized and extra.txt<-this one will be minimized
• Make sure Format->Word Wrap is unchecked
• Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your reply

Once complete, please post both DSS logs, you won't need to produce a new HijackThis log as DSS produces one for you. Also, describe how your computer is running at present.

The reason I think I'm infected is the computer runs really really slow. A year or so ago I had someone from this site help out by looking at the hijack logs and we found several programs that were infecting my computer and we fixed them and it started running fast again. Here are the logs you asked for. I'll keep an eye on the site today if anyone can look at this and reply I'd appreciate it.

The DSS main.txt has been posted twice and the extra.txt is missing.

You should find the original extra.txt located in this folder or a subfolder under it named with the date and time of the scan:
C:\Deckard\System Scanner

If you can't find it for any reason, you can make another one as follows:

• Make sure DSS.exe is on your Desktop
• Press the Start->Run, copy/paste the following command into the box and press OK:
  

  "%userprofile%\desktop\dss.exe" /config

• A configuration box will appear, make sure all the boxes under Main Log are un-checked and all the boxes in the Extra log section are checked then press Scan!

Please open Start->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs, and remove the following:

J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 4
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6
Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_01
Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_06
Java(TM) 6 Update 5

These are out of date and now a security risk, you already have the latest Java update installed - Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 7 - don't remove this one.

You have a program called SpyHunter installed on your computer. This program was until recently classified as a Rogue antispyware program. Typically, rogue programs do not provide any security benefits, and use false positives to goad users into purchasing a full version of the program. Due to it's tainted history, and the availability of more reputable programs for free, I strongly suggest you remove it - SpyHunter can be uninstalled via Add/Remove Programs

• Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your Desktop (right-click the link, select Save Target As..., select your Desktop and press Save)
• Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
• At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to both of these options:
  • Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
• Once the program has loaded, select Perform Quick Scan, then click Scan.
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
• Make sure everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
• When finished, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to your Desktop, and post the contents in your reply.
• The log can also be found here if you need it:
  • Start->All Programs->Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware->Logs
