My Hijack this Log - HELP!

Unread postby ellemmae » May 8th, 2008, 12:23 am

HI
Hopefully someone can help me fix this mess.
I bought a hair clipper which came with in instruction CD. I put it in the computer it came up on Windows media player. Before it could even start, my computer shut down and restarted.
After that, I could not get the CD to play at all. I thought I needed to update my windows media player and downloaded the file. At some point, it said I would need to close my virus program for it to be able to load. The next time I tried the CD, it showed the tital as "Sensuality and Sexuality". Since then, I have trouble opening almost any program. I ran the Trend Micro scan and it found several malware. However, it goes through all of the steps except the final clean and remove step. It just sits there forever and never finishes.
On top of all this - I sent a file I needed to my computer at work and I seem to have passed on the bug. Now, nothing wants to work on that computer either.
I have been at this for days and have not been able to resolve it. At work, I cannot even get Trend Micro to load on internet so I can't even try to fix it this way.
CAN YOU HELP? I will greatly appreciate it.
Below is my log from Hijack this. It is all greek to me.

Highjackthis.exe needs a permanant folder of it's own in order to create backups
Create a folder on the desktop, right click on the desktop, select new folder, and name it HJT Now locate C:\Documents and Settings\Linda Adams\Desktop\ HijackThis.exe copy and paste it into the new folder ( HJT ) you created on the desktop.

Make a uninstall list using HijackThis
To access the Uninstall Manager you would do the following:

1. Start HijackThis
2. Click on the Config button
3. Click on the Misc Tools button
4. Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.

You will now be presented with a screen similar to the one below:

Image

5. Click on the Save list... button and specify where you would like to save this file. When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file. Simply copy and paste the contents of that notepad here on your next reply.

Run HijackThis, select Do a system scan only and place checks against the following entries (if they are still present)

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {465E08E7-F005-4389-980F-1D8764B3486C} - (no file)

Please note! The HijackThis O6 section corresponds to an Administrative lock down for changing the options or the homepage in Internet explorer by changing certain settings in the registry.
This entry would legitimately show if an administrator set the restriction on purpose or if the user utilized Spybot S&D's Home Page and Option Lock down features in the Mode ->Advanced Mode -> Tools -> IE Tweaks section. (Or there could be other similar tools with similar options/functions.
