Remove System Integrity Scan Popup

Unread postby Charlie22 » April 4th, 2008, 10:40 am

Hi,

I keep getting a popup for System Integrity Scan. After research on google, I know that this is some form of malware / spyware. I tried smitfraudfix in conjuction with Super Antispyware Professional to remove the malware. This has helped, but there are still parts of the malware infecting my computer. Norton 360 version 1.3.1.6 didn't seem to pick anything up. Anyway, here is the Hijack This log from my computer.

Unread postby dan12 » April 5th, 2008, 3:54 am

Hi, and welcome to malwareremoval forums

I'm dan12, I'll be glad to help you with your computer problems.

Please observe these rules while we work:
  • Perform all actions in the order given.
  • If you don't know, stop and ask! Don't keep going on.
  • Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
  • Stick with it till you're given the all clear.
  • REMEMBER, ABSENCE OF SYMPTOMS DOES NOT MEAN THE INFECTION IS ALL GONE.
If you can do these things, everything should go smoothly.
  • Please note you'll need to have Administrator priviledges to perform the fixes. (XP accounts are Administrator by default)
  • Please let me know if you are using a computer with multiple accounts, as this can affect the instructions given.
It may be helpful to you to print out or take a copy of any instructions given, as sometimes it is necessary to go offline and you will lose access to them.

I'm presently looking over your log and hope not to be too long.
Will be back with you as soon as I can.
Thanks dan

It looks like you have a couple of infections going on.

You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, then make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish. The fix will begin;
follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

At the end of the fix, you may need to restart your computer again.

Post back the contents of the logfile C:\fixwareout\report.txt.

Now lets check some settings on your system.
(2000/XP) Only
In the windows control panel. If you are using Windows XP's Category View, select the Network and Internet Connections category otherwise double click on Network Connections. Then right click on your default connection, usually local area connection for cable and dsl, and left click on properties. Click the Networking tab. Double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item and select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS servers automatically
Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks.
That option might not be avaiable on some systems.

Run HijackThis, select Do a system scan only and place checks against the following entries (if they are still present)

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{30C57B7C-EC27-4998-A9F8-BBC5CD260090}: NameServer = 85.255.113.138,85.255.112.203
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{6B43D953-83B1-4E22-8197-0172A0E9DA85}: NameServer = 85.255.113.138,85.255.112.203
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{DDE1F911-1034-4DE1-835D-612273CFF4FB}: NameServer = 85.255.113.138,85.255.112.203
O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.113.138 85.255.112.203
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.113.138 85.255.112.203
WITH ALL OTHER WINDOWS CLOSED Click on Fix Checked and exit

Please include in your next post:
  • C:\fixwareout\report.txt.
  • New highjackthis log

Thanks dan

Download Combofix from any of the links below, and save it to your desktop. For information regarding this download, please visit this webpage: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofi ... e-combofix

Link 1
Link 2
Link 3

**Note: It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop**

--------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Close any open browsers.

2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
When finished, it will produce a report for you.
  • Please post the "C:\ComboFix.txt" along with a new HijackThis log for further review.

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall

please post the combo log and a New HJT log in your next post.

1. Close any open browsers.

2. Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

Code: Select all
   Dir::

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\sdankxyp

Save this as CFScript.txt, in the same location as ComboFix.exe

Image

Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe

When finished, it shall produce a log for you at "C:\ComboFix.txt"

Close ALL open windows. Use Ctrl-Alt-Delete together to bring up the task manager.
Under the processes tab, if it is visible, check the box 'Show processes from all users'.
One at a time, highlight each of these that are listed and "End Process":

ozsncpcr.exe

____________

Delete bad programs
  • Click Start
  • Go to Control Panel
  • Go to Add/Remove Programs
  • Find and click Remove for the following (if present). It could be that they have a space or something between it , but it has to look like it:
  • PC-Cleaner

**Take care when answering any questions posed by an uninstaller. Some questions may be worded to deceive you into keeping the program.

-----------------------------

Run HijackThis, select Do a system scan only and place checks against the following entries (if they are still present)

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://softwarereferral.com/jump.php?wm ... Ojg5&lid=2
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [qhqouxxz] C:\WINDOWS\system32\ozsncpcr.exe
O15 - Trusted Zone: *.hotmail.com
O15 - Trusted Zone: *.live.com
O15 - Trusted Zone: *.msn.com
O15 - Trusted Zone: *.passport.com
O20 - Winlogon Notify: __c00FFBB9 - C:\WINDOWS\system32\__c00FFBB9.dat (file missing)

Re: Remove System Integrity Scan Popup

Unread postby Charlie22 » April 7th, 2008, 9:47 pm

A couple things:
1) PC Cleaner was not found in Add/Remove programs
2) Combo Fix did not produce a log file. I followed all of the steps to the letter, but Combo Fix did not seem to work.

I have not gone any farther than this.

Please advise.
