• Please note you'll need to have Administrator priviledges to perform the fixes. (XP accounts are Administrator by default)

It may be helpful to you to print out or take a copy of any instructions given, as sometimes it is necessary to go offline and you will lose access to them.

Ok, couple of things I want you to do for me. your current A/V and firewall is AVG8 did you uninstall norton?

Hi, can you create a folder on your desktop and name it "HJT" then locate:>C:\Documents and Settings\LK Smith\My Documents\Downloads\HijackThis.exe

then copy and paste into the folder you created on the desktop.
We do this to assist should things not go to plan and HJT will create a backup but it has to have it's own folder.
