Hi,

Update Java Runtime Environment (JRE)

Your JRE is out of date. The current version is Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 5.

  1. Click on Start > Control Panel and double click on Add/Remove Programs. Locate J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 1 and click on Change/Remove to uninstall it.
  2. Repeat for this old version of JRE: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 6 Update 1
  3. Click here to visit Java's website.
  4. Scroll down to Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 5. Click on Download.
  5. Read through the License Agreement and select Accept License Agreement radio button. The page will refresh.
  6. Click on Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language to download it. Save this to a convenient location.
  7. Run this installation to update your Java.

Update Adobe Reader

  1. Please uninstall Adobe Reader 8.1.1 before installing the latest version by going to Start > Control Panel and double clicking on Add/Remove Programs. Locate Adobe Reader 8.1.1 and click on Change/Remove to uninstall it.
  2. Click here to download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  3. Select your Windows version and click on Download. If you are using Internet Explorer, you will receive prompts. Allow the installation to be ran and it will be installed automatically for you.

If you are using other browsers, it will prompt you to save a file. Save this file to your desktop and run it to install the latest version of Adobe Reader.
  4. Close your Internet browser and open it again.

After you've updated the programs, please post a new HijackThis log.

How's your computer performing now?

It seems ok. I'll install the new version and send the HJT to you as soon as possible.

I'd like to ask you (and malwareremoval site as well) 1 thing.

In my posts I see my plain name (...\Documents and Settings\name\... )...would it be possible to remove it since some posts contain firm specific things?

Thanks a lot,

I have edited the post - replaced your username with "USERNAME"

Please note - lots of the fixes that are provided can or will use the path to the file to alter/delete/etc - if so you may well need to edit what the helper is providing you with, which may well complicate any fix you are doing.

Also - Google and the other search engines do visit us several times a day, and it may well be that the google cache system has already got your post before it was altered.

Hello,

I didn;t install the new J2SE version because I have a slow internet connection here. I'll do as soon as in the office.

Hereafter the HJT log.

Thanks,

Sined

Hi,

If SweetIM and ICQ is no longer installed on your computer, you can fix the following lines with HijackThis.

You are using HijackThis from a desktop. It's not really recommended as it makes backups. Please move HijackThis to another location so as to prevent the accidental removal of backups.

Here's a tutorial for creating a permanent folder for HijackThis.

After moving HijackThis to a permanent folder, open HijackThis and select Do a system scan only.

Put a check (tick) next to these lines:

    R3 - URLSearchHook: SweetIM For Internet Explorer - {BC4FFE41-DE9F-46fa-B455-AAD49B9F9938} - C:\Program Files\Macrogaming\SweetIMBarForIE\toolbar.dll (file missing)
    O2 - BHO: SWEETIE - {1A0AADCD-3A72-4b5f-900F-E3BB5A838E2A} - C:\Program Files\Macrogaming\SweetIMBarForIE\toolbar.dll (file missing)O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
    O3 - Toolbar: SweetIM For Internet Explorer - {BC4FFE41-DE9F-46fa-B455-AAD49B9F9938} - C:\Program Files\Macrogaming\SweetIMBarForIE\toolbar.dll (file missing)
    O9 - Extra button: ICQ Lite - {B863453A-26C3-4e1f-A54D-A2CD196348E9} - C:\Program Files\ICQLite\ICQLite.exe (file missing)
    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: ICQ Lite - {B863453A-26C3-4e1f-A54D-A2CD196348E9} - C:\Program Files\ICQLite\ICQLite.exe (file missing)
    O9 - Extra button: ICQ6 - {E59EB121-F339-4851-A3BA-FE49C35617C2} - C:\Program Files\ICQ6\ICQ.exe
    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: ICQ6 - {E59EB121-F339-4851-A3BA-FE49C35617C2} - C:\Program Files\ICQ6\ICQ.exe

Click Fix checked. Close HijackThis.

After you've updated your Java, please post a new HijackThis log and whether your computer still have any other issues.

Thanks. :)
