Sorry for the delay in a reply. If you still require help can you please download HJTInstall.exe to your Desktop.

  • Doubleclick HJTInstall.exe to install it.
  • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
  • Click on Install.
  • It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
  • Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
  • Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
  • Copy/Paste the log to your next reply please.

Don't use the Analyse This button, its findings are dangerous if misinterpreted.
Don't have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

As far as the BitTorrent/Nero issue goes... that is something that you would be best to ask in a general computer help forum. This one is for malware related issues. I don't use either of those programs so I'm not the best one to ask about them.

If you head over to CastleCops you may find the help you need there. That or if BitTorrent has a support forum you could probably get the answers you seek there.

One thing I see that we can do is get your Java updated as you are running an older version of it.

Can I get you to run HijackThis. Click the Misc Tools button. Then the Uninstall Manager button. Then the Save List button. Save that list to your Desktop. Copy/paste the contents of the list in your next reply please.
