strange problems..please help

Hi,
while surfing I faced these strange problems:

Files and programmes get selected with touchpad, but not get opened.
Get selected with touch pad but cant open by hitting enter.
Clicked on start and clicked on any programme but it doesnt open.
Control panel just flashed and disappeared.
Right click gave two different menus and once no menu at all.
With Windows + E shortcut to open my computer, it just flashed and disappeared.
However, with Windows + R i opened run box and opened notepad.But it didnt have any file options.

I had some 6-7 IEs with several tabs on each opened. I closed all and evrything retuened to normal. Still i want to be sure. Please help.

yes, this is the same machine about which I posted earlier. I have replied to that post. As I told in that reply I did complete reinstallation and I dont think this particular problem exists anymore.
