my computer got very slow.

I run McAfee AV and AVG antispyware. 2 days ago I had a "PC turbo" pop-up, and now my system is crawling. I have run the Mcafee, AVG, and bitdefender online scan. Here is the Hijack This log:

I think the problem you are having is likely related to the update function of Adobe Acrobat. It can phone home interminably and slow your PC to a crawl.

To test it, wait until your PC is extremely slow, then hit Ctrl-Alt-Delete simultaneously. The Task manager will come up (eventually !!). Click on the Processes tab, and note the names of the process files which are using most of the CPU resources.

Post back here.
If it's the Adobe Update files, you may have to get their tech support to help.
If it's not, we will look for other possibilities.

Thank you. I did get an automatic update from adobe 2 days ago, and that seems to be when it all started.

I went into my startup menu and disabled all of the adobe processes that were starting up. I believe there were four. Hopefully, this will take care of it. Thanks. I assume that the HJT file did not demonstrate anything that jumped out at you as malware?
