My internet stoped working and my dad told me it was because I was downloading stuff that wouldnt let me access the computer or something like that.Then he said progams like comodo firewall kaspersky online scanner and Hijackthis are all bad programs because they are only for certian types of computers and i should not be downloading them is this true?

There is no evidence that you are currently using Comodo or any other third-party firewall. Comodo is a good firewall and is compatible with Windows XP SP2. It is possible that a firewall could, if improperly configured, block internet access. A properly configured firewall will not block access to the internet.

Additionally, HijackThis is safe to use and it's compatible with all versions of Windows. Kaspersky online scanner is safe to use, and is also compatible with Windows XP SP2.

There is no evidence of malware shown in your HijackThis log. If you are continuing to have difficulties with your internet connection, as this is a computer troubleshooting issue not a malware issue, I suggest you use the following link to go to the CastleCops General Computer Problems forum for help from a CastleCops SRT...
