Still not having any joy with SDFix, have been away from the PC for a while. There is no progress when I do the SDFix in safe mode with the instruction you offered.

Can you run the combo fix ??
You are looged with admin privleges correct?

After you ran
%systemdrive%\SDFix\apps\FixPath.exe /Q

your system would require a reboot for S&D to run correctly..Please try that.

If that doesn't work

clcik start/run and copy this in exactly

cmd /c %systemroot%\system32\reg.exe query "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment" /s>%systemdrive%\Result.txt & set >> %systemdrive%\Result.txt & notepad %systemdrive%\Result.txt


Hit enter and it will display a txt file.
Copy the entire contents of the file here for me to look at.
