My HJT Log

Unread postby Sticky Mick » February 18th, 2007, 5:44 am

Hi everyone :)

I would be very gratefull if someone could have a quick look at my HJT Log.

The problems I'm having began after installing Vista Transformation Pack 6.0

My virus scanner (AntiVir) kept finding APPL/closeapp.exe. A-Squared Free also found the file, both listed it as riskware.
When I'm browsing the web, with Opera or Firefox, (never use IE unless for MS updates) Some of my bookmarks don't work, or take an eternity to display, and when doing a Google search, it sometimes takes an eternity to show any results (sometimes returning an error).
I have since found out that closeapp.exe is a DOS utility for Acrobat. but since removing closeapp.exe from my system, things haven't been too bad, so far it's behaved itself. I have also scanned and cleaned my restore points, so I'm pretty sure my system is now clean.

Anyway here's my HJT Log:

Hi Kotaguy.

Thanks for taking the time to reply ;)
At the moment things seem to be running fine.
Since doing a scan of my restore points and getting rid of that APPL/closeapp.exe, I haven't had any further issues, and getting rid of that file hasn't had any adverse effects on my system.
If I do have any further issues I'll certainly pop on here for advice.

Thanks again.
