Sound??

Can someone please help, I had a malware thanks to you it is removed now!!!, the problem I have now is that I cannot hear a sound, the speakers are plugs properly, I have re-installed the driver I went to the manufacturers website and is updated.
When going into control panel sound devices, sound - properties : I cannot change a thing. system in one of the tabs: Hardware= automatically goes HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H10A.
There are other options available however I cannot change it after I select whatever, the system automatically goes back the selection mentioned./
Please, Please help./
