One thing I forgot to mention is that upon startup he gets a box with the message Access violation at address 00426059 in module 'WMP54GSv1_1.exe' he has had that for a while and usually just clicks ok and it's gone. But if you leave it it just continues to generate more of the same message boxes stacked over each other.
