Hello halfabrick! Welcome to Malware Removal Forums!

I have some bad news!

Your computer is heavily infected multiple backdoor Trojans. This gives intruders complete control of your computer, logging key strokes, stealing information, etc. :(

You are strongly advised to do the following immediately!:
  • Disconnect infected computer from the internet and from any networked computers until the computer can be cleaned.
  • Call all of your banks, credit card companies, financial institutions and inform them that you may be a victim of identity theft and to put a watch on your accounts or change all your account numbers.
  • From a clean computer, change *all* of your online passwords -- for ISP login, email, banks, financial accounts, PayPal, eBay, online companies, and any online forums or groups you belong to.
Do NOT change passwords or do any transactions while using the infected computer because the attacker will get the new passwords and transaction information.
Because of its backdoor functionality, your PC is very likely compromised and there is no way to be sure it can ever again be trusted. Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of Trojan, the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS. However, if you do not have the resources to reinstall your OS and would like me to attempt to clean your machine, I will be happy to do so.

To help you make a more informed decision, please read the following articles:
  • Danger: Remote Access Trojans.
  • When should I re-format? How should I reinstall?
  • How Do I Handle Possible Identify Theft, Internet Fraud and Credit Card Fraud?

Should you have any questions, please feel free to ask

Please let me know your decision and we'll get started with clean up if that's what you choose.[/quote]
well that just great. im just gonna reformat and reinstall. I just bought a laptop and everything I really need is on there now. I swept the laptop and it was clean. I had no idea this trojan was that bad. Now my laptop wont get infected if i use the a wireless router for both computers would it? This sucks. Whats the best way to go about reformatting and reinstalling? Appreciate all the help. Thanks!
Hi halfabrick! It is best to format the infected computer before going on the Internet on any of your networked computers.

Here is a guide to formatting
http://spyware-free.us/tutorials/reformat/

I hope that answers your question. If not, please let me know.
Yeah I reformatted it using the disc. Not too painful. Idont have the laptop networked so its okay. Now i should be safe now right?
You should be safe once you install an Anti-Virus and Firewall. Your last log showed you had Norton. If you have that installed, that is fine. If not, then install one of each of the following...

AV
AVG Free Edition << I recommend this
AntiVir
avast! 4 Home Edition

Firewall
Zone Alarm << I recommend this
Sunbelt Kerio PF
Outpost Firewall

Here are some other measures you can take to stay more secure online:

Secure your Internet Explorer by going here and following the instructions there.

Better yet, use an alternative browser! Download FireFox and give it a run. It is far more secure than Internet Explorer. Or, you can get Opera.

Install and keep updated, Ad-Aware SE and Spybot Search & Destroy.
Run them both on a regular basis, following the manufacturer's recommendations.

Install and keep updated, SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard

Check for Windows Updates. Microsoft regularly post updates for your systems safe running. Make sure to take advantage of this. Reboot when installed and return to make sure there are no others.

Let me know if you have any other questions, or if I can mark this resolved.
