How we doing?

ok, I created a new txt file in the C:\QooBox\Quarantine\C\WINDOWS\system32\provisioning
directory, pasted the code into the txt window and saved it as Vfind.bat with "all files" selected. i then ran the bat file. it opens a cmd window and thats it. 20 minutes later the cmd window is still empty and sitting there....
not sure if i did something wrong or what....

Not forgot you, we need to find out if the file extensions have been stripped from the files in that folder before we move them back.
I'm just waiting for a post from the developer.

As it's been a few days can I see another HJT log.

Were all but done it's just that folder I want to get back to c:\drive but before it can be moved I need to know if the file extensions were stripped, by using the program I gave you.
I have not heard from the developer as yet, so he may be away at the moment.

I was trying to make things easy for you by using the tool to strip the extensions, as you had problems we will attempt to do it manually.
Can you look in the quarantined list to see if the files that were in the provisioning folder have the .vir extension.
if they still do:

* Rename the files, removing the .vir extension.
* Move the files back to the location they originated "C:\WINDOWS\peernet"

Ok, I moved the Provisioning folder into the windows folder and removed the .vir extension on all files in the schemas folder leaving all with the single extension of .xdr

Well done! for returning that folder!

Ok, now you have got the folder reinstated in it's original location we can clear up.


UNINSTALL COMBOFIX

• Click START then RUN
  
• Now type Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK.
• Note the space between the X and the U, it needs to be there.
  
• 
  

You can also delete any logs we have produced, and empty your Recycle bin.



Close all windows and try typing this command directly in and see if ComboFix runs.

Remember to use the " marks and there is a space between exe" and /killall

Start > Run > type "%userprofile%\desktop\combofix.exe" /killall

If ComboFix runs, please post the log.

Let me know when done, I just need to know your unable to run cf.

So I guess it is completely uninstalled?

Create a new System Restore Point
This is a good time to clear your existing system restore points and establish a new clean restore point:

• Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
  
• Select Create a restore point, and Ok it.
  
• Next, go to Start > Run and type in cleanmgr

• Choose the option to clean up system restore and OK it.
  

This will remove all restore points except the new one you just created.
