Hi kvyn.
My apologies there was an error in my last OTM script we need to run it again.
I would like you to run an additional scan also.

Re-run OTM
  • Right-click OTM.exe and select " Run as administrator " to run it.
  • Right-click then copy the following code, Do not include the word Code.
    :Processes
    TeaTimer.exe

    :Reg
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\{0F00825E-0C9E-49F4-83AE-9A2AD2538809}]
    "NameServer"=-
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\{BCD95542-0A0A-4992-8BAD-E6C78E83F569}]
    "NameServer"=-
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\ControlSet001\Services\Tcpip\Parameters]

    :Files

    C:\Users\KWILLS~1\AppData\Local\Temp\Bm0.exe

    :Commands
    [EmptyFlash]
    [emptytemp]
    [start explorer]
    [Reboot]

    • Return to OTM, right-click then paste the code into the blank box below
    • Next click on the large button.
    • OTM may ask to reboot the machine. Please do so if asked.
    • Copy everything in the Results window (under the green bar), and paste it in your next reply.

NOTE: If you are unable to copy/paste from this window (as will be the case if the machine was rebooted), open Notepad (Start->All Programs->Accessories->Notepad), click File->Open, in the File Name box enter *.log and press the Enter key, navigate to the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles folder, and open the newest .log file present, and copy/paste the contents of that document back here in your next post.

Next.

I greatly appreciate your help, but it looks my computer is completely screwed. I somehow got a new virus and it won't let me get online(im using a friends computer) or use system restore(even in safe mode). So I guess I'm going to have to reinstall windows once I find a copy, since my computer came with it pre-installed.
Cypher Admin/Teacher
Hi kvyn.
If windows came pre-installed can you boot to the recovery Recovery Console?
Restart the computer and press F8 repeatedly until the Advanced Options Menu appears.
Select the Recovery Console option and click Enter.
kvyn
I actually found all my original discs for my computer(Windows Vista and all the drivers). So, I guess I'm going to try and reinstall and hope that the virus will be gone. I tried the Advanced Options menu but did not see an option for Recovery Console.

I thought that I had gotten rid of this virus before but I guess it was hiding out in the registry? It makes itself look like
anti-virus software and keeps promting you to run it. If you click "Yes. Run anti virus scan" it will take you to a website and tries to get you to purchase some anti-virus software.

If you reformat your computer and reinstall windows it will restore your computer to a factory state.
This will remove any virus present and you will have a clean system.
But if you wish we can still try to clean your system, the decision is yours.
Please let me know what you decide to do.
