Windows update error - redirected from web search links

Hi.
It can be updated by the Java control panel

• click on Start > Control Panel (Classic View) > Java (looks like a coffee cup) > Update Tab > Update Now.
• An update should begin.
• Just follow the prompts.

Im sorry but I do not see JAVA, is due to uninstalling Java(TM) 6 Update 7 earlyer?

Possibly but im not sure, did you switch to Classic View in the control panel?

Just a couple of thing to clean up then you should be good to go.
Give me an update on you're PC's performance after you have done the following.

Delete Multiple Files.
We need to delete some files and folders.
It will be easier and less error prone, if we create a batch file to do this... please follow these steps:

1. Copy all text in the quote box (below)...to Notepad, Do not include the word Quote:
   

   @echo off
   REM: Delete specific files within a Directory
   del /f /s /q "C:\Users\Panfilo\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\1\51ee3281-5a09ae18"
   del /f /s /q "C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-tdi-over-tcpip_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6002.18005_none_ec294157d9377403\tdx.sys "
   del %0

2. Save the Notepad file on your desktop...as delfile.bat... save type as "All Files"
   
   delfile.bat <<------------- you should see this on your desktop.
3. Double click on delfile.bat to execute it.
   A black CMD window will flash, then disappear...this is normal.
4. The files and folders, if found...will have been deleted and the "delfile.bat" file will also be deleted.

Ive completed the Delete Multiple Files. Thanks you very much for your help this was a great learning experiance. I will do everything in my control to prevent from getting into this situation. Is there anything else I need to do? Should I remove everything that was downloaded and saved on the desktop? Besides MSE scans should I scan with anything else? What do you recommend?

You're most welcome glad we could help, your latest set of logs appear to be clean!
This is my general post for when your logs show no more signs of malware.

Now that you are clean, please follow these simple steps in order to keep your computer clean and secure:

Time for some housekeeping

• Click on Start >> Run...
• Now type in ComboFix /Uninstall into the and click OK.
• Note the space between the X and the /Uninstall, it needs to be there.
  

The above procedure will reset your System Restore and clear out the backups and quarantines created during the course of this fix.

Next

OTC

Download OTC by Old Timer and save it to your Desktop. This tool will remove all the tools we used to clean your pc.

• Right-click OTC.exe And select " Run as administrator " to run it.
• Click the CleanUp! button
• Select Yes when the Begin cleanup Process? Prompt appears
• If you are prompted to Reboot during the cleanup, select Yes
• The tool will delete itself once it finishes, if not delete it by yourself

Note: If you receive a warning from your firewall or other security programs regarding OTC attempting to contact the internet, please allow it to do so.


You can now delete any tools we used if they remain on your Desktop.

Don't forget to re-enable any protection programs we disabled during your fix.

To update Windows

Go to Help > Check for Updates
