I have a fake alert problem and also keep getting chat windows opening. I am blocked from downloading updates for Windows. On Firefox, I am blocked from visiting any antimalware website. Explorer is completely locked and tries to take me to anti spyware websites. I downloaded Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and it seems to have stopped the fake alerts but I'm am still blocked from getting updates and some websites. I have the log from the Malwarebytes run. I downloaded Fakealert stinger and ran it on "high" but it did not find anything. Before running Fakealert stinger, I disabled System Restore. After reading the instructions for this post, I realize now that I should not have done that but am leaving as is for now.
