Please help! Google and other search engine redirect virus!

I have a search engine redirect virus. My searches are redirected to non-related sites. My McAfee antivirus says it spots and blocks Lando and/or Artemis Generic trojans when I load a Google search page, but the blocking causes IE to quit, and when it reloads itself (IE v8) the redirect takes hold when a link is clicked. I've tried a bunch of solutions to scan and clean my computer to no avail. Please help!
