Before I spend time writing a fix ......... did you have any problems running FRST ........ like you did with OTL.
I'd just like to know, because if FRST had similar problems, then it's likely that any fix created for it may run into the same issues as OTL.
Sorry, I should have asked you to let me know about this when I asked you to run the scan, but I was in a bit of a rush when I posted the instructions.
Save it to the same folder/directory that FRST64.exe is in, naming it as fixlist.txt
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user. Running it on another machine may cause damage to your operating system
Start FRST in a similar manner to when you ran a scan earlier, but this time when it opens ....
Press the Fix button once and wait.
FRST will process fixlist.txt
When finished, it will produce a log fixlog.txt in the same folder/directory as FRST64.exe.
Next ...
Download TFC by OldTimer to your Desktop.
Close ALL running applications as TFC will terminate them before attempting to clean up the temporary files.
Double-click on the TFC icon.
When the program starts, click on the Start button. TFC will terminate the Explorer process and all running applications and then begin the process of cleaning out all of your temp folders.
When done, press OK to reboot your computer and finish the cleanup.
Please let me know if there's any improvement in the performance of your computer.
Sorry about that, the oops was a removal of the fixlog that I posted there. The process was fine and it does seem to have improved the performance of the computer. I thank you for your help. It is muchly appreciated
Actually I wanted to see the fixlog, so if you've got it please post it. In the meantime I'll start going through your auto startups so I can create a list for you to look through, that way you can decide whether there's any that you don't need to be running all the time.
Freeing up memory should improve the computer's performance a bit more.
The items below are all optional as to whether they need to be launched at startup, their utility to you will be the governing factor as to whether you want them to auto-launch or not.

Obviously this is a backup utility, and needs to be running to work properly, however it's quite memory intensive (see link) which may be something you need to take into consideration.
Somehow the FRST was run twice, I screwed up. Here is the latest Log, I cannot find the original log, my fault.

These would be the ones that I would like to disable, I am sure the Crashplan is very memory intensive I want to leave it enabled until I can get my initial backup finished. I have well over 3Tb of photos I need to back up and have saved offsite. That is also why I have the Photoshop stuff on there.
Hope this is ok, I posted the Fixlog to prevent me from screwing it up again. I shall restart the machine and let you know how it works

Gary R, I thank you very much. The computer booted up faster than I remember, the main thing I want to check on is to see how Photoshop works with the changes we made. Oh I also think I should have left the Dell Dock alone as that is a dock that has the programs I use the most ie Pshop Lightroom, Firefox, etc. Is there a way I can roll it back to use that but get rid of the others? I mean other than doing a restore and running FRST without the Dell Dock in the Fixlist text? Either way I thank you very much for your help, you have saved me some grey hairs.
Merry Christmas to you all.
Done, I thank you very much. Seems to be close to what it used to be. Thanks and once again, Merry Christmas
