Hi and thank you for being here. I play Call of Duty religiously. Three days ago I noticed that in game (only) video became very choppy and stuttering. I kept getting, and still do now, an Intel message which pops up from my system tray that says there's a problem with 'optomal resolution settings'. I checked my settings and everything in game and on my laptop seemed normal and because the previous day I had played, everything had been fine, I decided to try tweaking my resolution settings in game and on my system but nothing works. I ran Norton 360, nothing. I then ran Super anti-spyware, again nothing. Being seriously concerned, I bought a copy of StopZilla and holy crap, I had a load of nasty critters. Vundo is the name that sticks in my head for one, there were a couple of key-loggers, a couple of trojans and some other stuff too (hijackers and re-directs). I still have the StopZilla logs if you want to see them. I went to BleepingComputer and they recomended to go through you firs

Ok, well things seem to be operating correctly. The desltop icons that were 'shadowed' were actually hidden after the OTL fix and are still shadowed. I used the show hidden files feature to reveal them on the desktop but they are still shadowed. The icons that are properly bright were not hidden after the fix, thus my previous post.

I still keep getting the windows 7 basic color scheme alert; again, however, there seems to be no issues regarding that as the proper color setup returns to normal after game play. I'm thinking that now it's a memory issue rather than a 'critter' issue.

So what do you think?

I don't see any malware on your system.
Some of the gaming programs are not squeaky clean as far as restoring settings, etc.
