Browser hijacked - registry error (page 2) — malwareremoval.com Archive

My computer has been running slow of late, and today when I opened my browser (Firefox 3.5.11) it started to go to my home page, then it flashed a page that said something about registry errors, and it then closed. I could not get anything else to work on my computer. CPU usage was pegged at 100% and wouldn't change. I restarted it by holding in the power button, and was able to get it to boot up again. Upon reboot, I attempted to update MalwareBytes AntiMalware, but got an error message, so I downloaded it again and reinstalled. Ran the quick scan, found 6 errors. It was able to repair 4, and had to reboot for the other 2, which I did. Upon rebooting this time, the system was still extremely slow, so I logged on here. Ran the Hijack This scan and the Uninstall list, shown below. I had to go away on a conference, and my wife is not comfortable finishing the instructions. I will be home on Saturday and will complete them at that time.

Delta,

Completed all of the steps. No more hijacked browser. It still seems that launching a new program is a little slow, but I'll keep an eye on it and see where it goes.
