Request for Help for Pop-Up Windows with Ads...

Hello, and immediately, thanks for any and all help you will give. I have read the forum rules, guidelines, and sticky's at the top of the forum, and am happy to comply. I am an idiot with computers, but can follow directions. I found this forum while researching on the internet about the problem my computer has. I have read a couple of posts here in their entirety, and am impressed by the professionalism and knowledge. So, please help me. Lets get started: Most of the time I spend on the computer is at small engine forums, or trolling the internet for the eternal hunt for small engine tech manuals and information. My wife is on only for her myspace, iTunes, and working on her college online courses. I have two computers, one in the house that I am on now, and one in my workshop. Both are configured similarly: Windows XP, IE8, Norton 2009, CCleaner, Ad-Aware 8.1.0. I have a network cable between the computers, though the network has been down for a month or so.
