Help me remove Trojan:Win32/Alureon.Gen!U

Windows defender has shown I have this virus but can't remove it. No other anti virus or anti spyware can locate it or remove it. I am on Vista and don't know how to get rid of it. It redirects my seaches on google to different websites which I haven't clicked on. when I click download it says no hosts available today

sorry I don't mean the link, I have downloaded it and installed hosts manager. I have then clicked on disable DNS service but when I click download it says no host updates available,is this supposed to happen?
