Scotty barking every few minutes

Hi, Scotty (winPatrol) is barking every few minutes. Sometimes up to 8-9 times in a row. On these occasion if I put my cursor over the icon in the tool bar it says "Scoty checking IE Helper" (or something similar). When Scotty barks just a few times 3-4 times) it does not give any message (or I am too late for it to do so). I had a similar experience a few weeks ago, but then it stopped. A google search suggested I may have a malware, and to post a Hijackthis log in this forum. Can you help? my log is; Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 6:57:32 PM, on 5/8/2009 Platform: Windows XP SP3 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.6000.16827) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MsMpEng.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Intel\Wireless\Bin\EvtEng.exe C:\
