Please go to Kaspersky website and perform an online antivirus scan.

Note: If you are using Windows Vista, open your browser by right-clicking on its icon and select ''Run as administrator'' to perform this scan.

1. Read through the requirements and privacy statement and click on Accept button.
2. It will start downloading and installing the scanner and virus definitions. You will be prompted to install an application from Kaspersky. Click Run.
3. When the downloads have finished, click on Settings.
4. Make sure these boxes are checked (ticked). If they are not, please tick them and click on the Save button:
   Spyware, Adware, Dialers, and other potentially dangerous programs
   Archives
   
5. Click on My Computer under Scan.
6. Once the scan is complete, it will display the results. Click on View Scan Report.
7. You will see a list of infected items there. Click on Save Report As....
8. Save this report to a convenient place. Change the Files of type to Text file (.txt) before clicking on the Save button.
9. Please post this log in your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log.

Justletting you know I am scanning this is taking forever..it has been over an hour and only 20% complete..so I am working on it

Yes it can take hours, it depends on amount of files.

while I am still waiting for the scan, I have a question...what is "mywebsearch" that I could not get off the computer for months and where does it come from....

Here is some info about it.

It can come bundled with certain programs, for example with emoticon packages.

How do I do search for its location

Please do a search:

• Go "Start">"Search">"All Files and Folders"
• Enter MSIMG32.dll in "All or part of file name"
• Select "More advanced options"
• Check-mark "Search System Folders", "Search hidden files and folders", and "Search subfolders".
• Post back results here, please..

when I typed it in the search box, search and destroy came out saying no files found

Did you use windows search for that?

I went to my start menu and down to my search button typed in the MSIMG32.dll and then this little box came up with spybot malware etc....and this file came up in the box with "file not found" next to it...

OK, now I have AVG.... will that effect the kapersky or is there a way to turn off AVG while running kapersky
